The world will change
its foundations — and the snow
falls on everyone
La maison VII belongs to the series “La maison”. A brown wooden chalet, its roof heavy with snow, stands out against a white and grey ground; the mass of snow, cut into large flat areas, weighs on the small building.
From canvas to canvas, the series takes up the same silhouette of a house built with local materials. For Sébastien Bonin, this repetition is a method: it is through repetition that a traditional form is preserved and passed on.
