We are nothing,
let us be all — says the snow
flake after flake

Bonhomme de neige I and II is a diptych of two oil paintings, shown in the exhibition “Tcharendar” at Alkinois, Athens, in 2026. In tones of white, beige and grey, two snowmen almost dissolve into the snow around them.

The motif is doubled, like a pair: in Sébastien Bonin's work, repetition is structural. A modest figure, made by hand and destined to melt, becomes the image of a gesture that is repeated every winter.
